Goodness Returns!

It was Diwali night. Everyone were busy cleaning their shops. I got quite bored and went out to call my friend. While I was walking n talking in our grain market, I saw a peculiar guy approaching me. "Excuse me... " he said. I had never seen him before. "I'm Shivakumar Myageri from Belgaum. I have lost my vallet. I need some money to catch a bus. Please help me" said he.
I was confused. I couldn't concentrate and asked my friend on phone to cut the call. Then I asked "What do you do?". He said he was an Engg. student in some xyz college. I was unable to believe him as it was Diwali night (The night when people lose all their money by playing cards!). But he looked quite innocent and nervous. I had two openions for him in my mind.
1. He might have lost all money playing cards and wants more money to play.
2. He was really innocent and needed some money to go home.
He asked mere 100 Rs. and I just gave it away without any other thought. Because 100 Rs. was not big amount for me then, but it was really big for him if he was really innocent. Also, I gave my name and number, and asked him to call me once he reaches home. He thanked me and disappeared.
The next day I waited for his call and didn't get any. I thought I was fooled. I just went to my Atti and Maava's place to enjoy the Diwali. Late at night I was to catch a bus to Bangalore from Hubli. I had not booked the ticket. I'm always lazy and do the things at the last moment. Mama and Atti were scolding me for not booking a ticket in advance. They said "If u dont get a ticket, come back. You can go on Monday, as buses will be free on Mondays". I said "I'm always lucky. You see I'll manage to get a ticket anyhow" and went to the Hubli VRL stop.
"Is there an empty seat to Bangalore?" I asked the VRL Ticket counter guy. "Only one seat in the last row sir! 800 Rs." As it was festive season, the fares were too high. I turned around and saw an uncle looking at me. "Can u please buy my ticket? You just give me Rs. 500". I was surprised and bought it from him immediately. He actually had cancelled his journey and wanted his ticket amount not to go waste. That's why he gave his middle row seat ticket worth Rs. 800 to me for just Rs. 500.
I called back home and told about this. They became happy as they didn't even expect me to get a ticket and I got it for Rs. 300 discount! Then I realized that, I helped a guy in need, so god helped me back in some other way. Goodness always returns!
